Assoc. Prof. Elena Koleva is a co-author of a patent developed with a team from the Permanent National Research Polytechnic University for a Device for determining the energy density distribution and controlling the focus of the electron beam. The patent presents a device for the energy density distribution determination for controlling electron beam focusing at electron beam welding. The device achieves increased the reproducibility of the electron beam welding results by controlling the electron beam parameters, reduced costs for the manufacturing of the device, increased accuracy of the determination of the beam energy density distribution and control the focus of the beam.
The technical result of the patent consists in reducing the loss of electrons from secondary electronic emission by altering the reflection angle of the primary electron collector, as well as the possibility of integrally measuring the transverse distribution of the energy of the electron beam (while preserving the differential measurements).

Assoc. Prof. Elena Koleva is a co-author of a patent developed with a team from the Permanent National Research Polytechnic University for a Device for determining the energy density distribution and controlling the focus of the electron beam. The patent presents a device for the energy density distribution determination for controlling electron beam focusing at electron beam welding. The device achieves increased the reproducibility of the electron beam welding results by controlling the electron beam parameters, reduced costs for the manufacturing of the device, increased accuracy of the determination of the beam energy density distribution and control the focus of the beam.
The technical result of the patent consists in reducing the loss of electrons from secondary electronic emission by altering the reflection angle of the primary electron collector, as well as the possibility of integrally measuring the transverse distribution of the energy of the electron beam (while preserving the differential measurements).
